Help: Rejection? Art 21's selection process

How would you like a profile on Art 21, PBS's amazing series about contemporary artists? Apparently many artists would and that's the main question the series receives. An Art 21 intern interviewed the curator of the show to examine how artists are selected. The discussion shows the curator and director agonize over the decisions. They spend much time looking at artists' work and trying to determine the importance of the art. Their process sounds like many curators and gallerists across the country who are daily choosing among many talented artists. Hopefully this process will give artists hope that these poeple care so much.
