Reading: Public Art as Economic Boom?
This is an interesting article analyzing whether public art leads to economic impact. These questions point at the challenge when making a case for the arts as important in the community beyond cultural affects. Is it about the money? Or really about the artistic project and process itself? Can the arts ever be considered relevant without tying ourselves to economic indicators?
