In the upcoming Artist Survival Kit workshop, The Artist’s Guide to World Domination: Marketing and Selling Your Work Online, artists will learn about platforms for selling artwork online as well as strategies for using online tools to market their work. The workshop will be held Saturday, April 2 from 1-4 pm at the Oklahoma City Coworking Collaborative, 723 N. Hudson, OKC. Visit www.ArtistSurvivalKit.org or call 405-879-2400 to register.
Margaret (Margee) Aycock, an oil painter living in Tulsa, will be one of the featured workshop speakers. She has been selling her work online for over eleven years and in that time, her online sales have met or exceeded sales at physical galleries and have steadily grown.

Twelve years ago a gallery on the east coast made off with six of my paintings and countless other pieces from artists around the world. That tragedy turned into a huge jump in sales as I moved all of my paintings into my own online gallery - a gallery whose owner was very trustworthy: me. Throughout the years my sales have steadily grown and I have branched out into other markets as well. I now sell on Etsy, imagekind, fineartamerica, and my own blog. I would love to share with you some tricks that I have learned along the way.
