This post is part of our series on Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition's Tulsa Art Studio Tour 2014. A self-guided tour, the Tulsa Art Studio Tour showcases the talent of artists who live and work in Tulsa.Today we are featuring Tour artist Rachel Ann Dennis.

Printmaker and artist Rachel Ann Dennis started out as a Women’s, Gender and Sexuality major and transformed herself into Master Print, Book and Paper artist. Dennis's advice: “Don’t wait for the next thing or right time to make art, use your creativity now to figure out the next thing, make the space in your life”.

Her passion is to continue the art form, preserve the craft/trade, through education, collaboration and the exploration of the history of the tools and the trade.

Her jovial personality will make you feel at home in her studio, as she explains her craft. She talks about her tools and presses as if they are family and friends, her presses have names. "This is a tradition of the trade," says Dennis.
