Reading: Entrepreneurial Artists
Creatively navigating making a living, artists have to be entrepreneurial in their careers. This article gives some extra credit to the predominantly right brained among us. I appreciate the emphasis on multiple avenues of income/business for artists. Most of the authentic training for artists looks at generating revenue in multiple ways (thinking about Creative Capital's great professional retreats show it as a wagon wheel of support, Alyson Stanfield's workshops focus on strategically opening your options, etc), not depending completely on others.
